The get together generated some good discussion on dealing with life, faith, meaning, the place and role of church and the difficulties of finding time and space to reflect, particularly collectively. Given the way our lives are structured, there are many distractions and obstacles to reflecting on life and meaning. There was a general consensus that the education system in Ireland inhibits us from asking questions and limits our freedom to ask questions. There was also an agreement on a lack of time and space to be able to ask questions. The discussion was fruitful and opened up some avenues for further exploration and engagement in the future.
