Starting a YCW group

If there is no group in your local area why not start one yourself? All you need is a small group of people between the ages of 18 and 30 and a place to hold your meetings. You could try contacting your local Parish/Church or Community/Youth Centre to provide a venue. YCW meetings generally last between 1.5 to 2 hours and follow a set agenda.

The YCW Development Team will be delighted to assist you in getting started and will continue to offer support and training where necessary.

Once the group gets started actions and activities are organised by the group themselves, based on the needs of each member and the group as a whole. You decide the programme of Action!

Once registered with the National Office, groups and individuals can then avail of international opportunities such as exchanges and Formation sessions on issues of concern to young workers and young people in general.
